Despite reports from France suggesting AC Milan are chasing RC Lens midfielder Seko Fofana is seems the club have other objectives in mind.
As Calciomercato.com writes, in the last few days the Lens midfielder Fofana – formerly of Udinese – has been strongly linked with Milan by the French press. However, according to their information, Fofana is not currently a target for the Milan management.
The 26-year-old Ivory Coast international has been a mainstay for Lens this season making 30 appearances in Ligue 1 this term, functioning mainly as a defensive midfielder, and Sebastien Denis of FootMercato reported on Twitter that Milan and Atalanta are both ‘strongly interested’ in signing him this summer. He added that Olympique Marseille are also keen but have not made an offer yet nor is there any verbal agreement.
It seems, therefore, that the Rossoneri are focusing on different profiles who could potentially replace Soualiho Meite and complete the midfield.
