CM: Thiaw wants to stay at Milan despite serious interest in him from abroad

By Euan Burns -

AC Milan defender Malick Thiaw would like to stay at AC Milan despite the fact that there is serious interest in him from some big teams, a report claims.

As has been reported by Calciomercato.com, the German defender is very keen to continue developing at Milan now that he has earned a regular starting spot in the defence.

It is now common for Fikayo Tomori and Thiaw to be the chosen starting centre-backs for Stefano Pioli, even if Pierre Kalulu and Simon Kjaer are both fit at the same time.

Thiaw arrived in the summer of 2022 and did not see much action for the first half of the 2022/23 season, but he was later introduced when Pioli switched to a back three.

The defender impressed and has managed to keep his place in the team and that has led to the likes of Real Madrid in La Liga and West Ham in the Premier League keeping tabs on him.

  1. I think players like him would love to join and stay w milan if we could minimally reach the semis in CL consistently. Shows we’re still amongst top 5 biggest clubs in the world, if not the best.

  2. There was never any interest from Real Madrid. Get your facts straight.

“AC Milan defender Malick Thiaw could make an unexpected switch to Real Madrid after his agents offered him to last season’s La Liga runners-up.

As per El Debate, the 22-year-old’s representatives have spotted an opportunity to cash in on their client’s rise to stardom at San Siro after Eder Militao suffered an ACL injury against Athletic Bilbao on Saturday.”
