CM: Thursday is Loftus-Cheek day for Milan – the details of the €36m package

AC Milan are prepared to welcome Ruben Loftus-Cheek and everything should be completed tomorrow, according to a report.

According to Calciomercato.com, the negotiation for the signing of Loftus-Cheek was fully concluded yesterday. The terms are as follows: a permanent deal for €15m fixed plus €5m in potential bonuses.

His medical is scheduled for tomorrow morning at La Madonnina clinic and then he will undergo the fitness tests before the signing of his contract at Casa Milan and the official announcement.

After Marco Sportiello was confirmed yesterday, Milan are therefore preparing to welcome the first true potentially starter-level reinforcement of their summer campaign.

Loftus-Cheek is ready to begin a new adventure after spending his entire life in London to this point, first as a product of the academy at Chelsea and then as a first team player with loans at Fulham and Crystal Palace.

The 27-year-old has agreed a deal with Milan which is four years at €4m net per season, taking the amount of the deal in total up to a potential €36m.

    1. At this point I genuinely think any real fans would hope the signing is good… He is almost ours anyway.

Or am I just hoping too much? Lol

      1. Real fans? Do you expect real fans to just be sheep with pea brains and mindlessly support signings they don’t want just because they play for us? Such a dumb turn real fans. Imo that’s not a real fan, that’s a low IQ fan. There’s a time to throw unwavering support behind the club and there’s a time to scrutinize.

  1. On paper, this is a horrible signing, not to mention expensive. Considering how the English media hype up every half-way decent player, signing a 27 year old that’s not well known and not part of the national team is a huge risk.
As much as I would like these guys to pay for the treatment of Maldini, I don’t want it to come at the expense of the team. Kamada not sealed yet, Thuram to Inter, Scammaca and Frattesi rumored to Roma, SMS rumored to Inter lately, it’s very concerning.
    I hope I’m proven wrong.

    1. Physical with brains for football, this guy can’t even effectively cover our defence, passing is poor what exactly is he suppose to solve?

      1. Calabria and Loftus Cheek are pretty comparable to be honest, reliable league players without much international furore.

    1. Martin yes 100 Mike but I grave doubts about Calabria I don’t rate him, he did well against Kava but that it is, I have seen him taken apart too many times this year and never understood why Kalulu did not take his place.

This is why I want Milan to sign Simgo

Or maybe it is just me, because I have not seen much criticism of Calabria here

      1. I’m not convinced by him at all but it remains to be seen how he does with a good player in from of him. Theo gets an easier time on the left because of Rafa whereas I imagine Calabria must wonder where the help is coming from sometimes.

  2. If the fee is 15+5 one has to add the gross amount to get to total cost. Even with favorable tax that will still be up to around 23-24m for 4 years. So total cost will be more like 40m.

  3. Am I the only one that remembers that RLC bossed the midfield against us last season first leg

Am sure that was what triggered Maldini’s interest in the guy

    1. True. I was just about the say that. He alone could handle our best mid consisting Tonali and Isma.

And tbh, I was impressed by him on that match, and the rumour that Milan interested in him came not long after the match.

Let’s hope he stays healthy. We all know he has this enormous potential.

  4. 4m a year for this guy is A LOT. And then people complained about Origi…. at least the guy arrived free and can create an earning if we sell him. Honestly, I don’t think this is a good deal

  5. For anyone interested, the consensus among Chelsea fans is that they’re sad to see him go, that he’s a great player and a dominant midfielder on his day, but that he’s been hampered with more than his fair share of injuries. They mostly seem to think that Milan are getting a bargain.
