Midfielder Lucas Biglia is all set to leave AC Milan on a free transfer next June, according to the latest reports.
The regista position is one which chopped and changed persistently through the first few rounds of the season following the arrival of Ismael Bennacer from Empoli over the summer.
However, Bennacer has started the last few games for Milan, putting in some impressive performances in the process and ultimately keeping Biglia out of the starting line-up.
According to Calciomercato.com‘s Daniele Longo though, Biglia will take the place of Bennacer for the game against Napoli after the international break due to the Algerian’s suspension, and he has a ‘great desire for redemption’.
Despite this, there is ‘no encouraging news’ on the contract renewal front for the former Lazio man as Milan have not scheduled any meetings with his agent, a sign that he will leave the club at the end of the season on a free transfer.
Biglia turns 34 in January and earns €3.5m-a-year, two factors which the outlet claims has led Elliott Management to end the relationship.
