Serhou Guirassy’s performances with Stuttgart this season are attracting the interest of a number of top European clubs and AC Milan are among those that have been linked.
It was reported by SportMediaset recently Milan are looking for a new striker ahead of the January window and Guirassy has caught their eye, which is understandable given that he has 14 goals in eight Bundesliga games so far this season.
As Calciomercato.com reports, Guirassy has been linked to Milan also by virtue of a release clause which makes him even more attractive for January, which is set at around €17.5m according to multiple sources.
However, their information is that the Rossoneri management and scouting department know the French-born Guinea international well but they have not included him in the list of possible purchases, at least for the moment.
It seems to be a formality that Milan will invest in a new striker next summer given Luka Jovic is yet to contribute anything and Olivier Giroud is on an expiring deal at 37, but for now it appears that other targets might just be catching their eye more.
Guirassy is 27.. I doubt we’ll swoop for him..
Guirassy is the best option due to 3 factors, he’s in his prime, in form and low cost. Getting a top striker under 20m is a steal. It would be foolish of Milan not to get him.
Also, Milan should invest in 2 strikers. One in January and the other next summer. Because Colombo still needs more time to develop and we can’t seriously think that we can rely on Giroud next season.
Guirassy now in January and Pavlidis or Gyökeres in the summer.
I am surprised people still view Colombo as an option to lead the attack for Milan in the future. I hope I am wrong but I don’t see anything that indicates he will be anything more than a starter for a lower level Serie A club. He reminds me very much of Petagna. Best to sell now in my opinion.
for 17.5 mil it would be dumb not to try and aquirre him as it would be an absolute steal.
give them 17,5 + Origi so they don’t wait for replacement
if there is a release clause at 17.5 mil then stuttgart has no say in stalling a deal if a club offers that ammount.
