CM.it: €120m and a doubled salary – Man Utd and PSG eyeing Milan star

Two clubs above all remain interested in signing Rafael Leao and it is not ruled out that AC Milan could cash in for the right offer, according to a report.

Calciomercato.it speak about Leao’s mixed first part of the season, recalling that the Portuguese winger has recorded three goals and three assists in the first 13 games across all competitions, whereas at the same point last season he had 10 goal contributions (4G, 6A).

Despite the fact Milan managed to renew his contract until June 2028, the rumours about his future and a potential move abroad have not stopped, with two European heavyweights watching him closely.

Paris Saint-Germain remain an interested spectator on Leao, especially if the Parisians have to say goodbye to Kylian Mbappe at the end of the season given he would be the natural replacement for the Frenchman.

Manchester United’s interest in the former Lille man must also be relayed. Marcus Rashford has not been as effective on the left in Erik ten Hag ‘s trident this season, and thus the Dutch coach could push for the arrival of Leao.

United are aware that to convince Milan to negotiate the sale of the Sporting CP academy graduate they will need to pay at least €120m. Leao has a salary of €7m net per season at Milan (including bonuses), which the Old Trafford club would be willing to double.

  1. If someone offers us 120M for him, just take it without much thought process. You can buy an in-form striker, a top DM and a top LW with that money.

      1. This makes sense. We’d have Oka to back up Puli (there is also Traore) and Romero to backup Chukwueze on the right. Sesko for 50m, Scalvini for 40M, and a top DM for 30M.

  2. Its CM news, but it’s a no brainer. Sell Rafa get a ST. Puli, okafor or chaka, if he really is that good, can do lw.
Hire a new coach and boom. New Milan. Again!

  3. Well OK, nothing less, but yes with 120M it’s a deal. Go out with that cash and get a striker and shore up the defense. Pulisic can move to his preferred left wing and Chuku and Romero can battle it out on the right.

  4. 120m + Amad Diallo (MU) or Lee Kang In (PSG)
young & direct replacement of Leao, they don’t need those player if Leao come

  5. Manchester United, one of the most iconic football clubs globally, has a rich history and a passionate fan base. The team’s successes and legendary players have left an indelible mark on the sport. Whether they’re in a period of triumph or transition.

    1. Oh yes the self proclaimed “biggest club in the world”

3 European Cups – compared to Madrids 14 or Milans 7!

No league title for 10 years

  6. Take the 120m and run. We are a selling club now at the highest level and we need to buy more players to sell later at a higher price – think the Ajax model.

BUT at the same time, with 120m we can buy some very good players.

  7. Milan should sell leao straightaway before he puts off all interested clubs with his lack of effort and interest during matches; his lethargy; his many mistakes during games; the way he misses easy chances; his dribbles that generally lead nowhere ….. mind you, he can be a splendid player and can at times score brilliant goals but he is too lazy and when he is around milan play with 10 players ….pity …
