Lorenzo Colombo’s permanent move to Genoa has been made official, and the striker has reacted after sealing his AC Milan exit.
Colombo made the switch to the Rossoblu on an initial loan deal with an option to buy that would become an obligation if certain conditions were met. The appearance and goals-based requirements were hit, leaving Serie A survival as the final box to be ticked.

Genoa confirmed their Serie A status earlier in the month and thus reports surfaced claiming that the Milan academy graduate would head to Liguria on a full-time basis. That has indeed become the case today.
Now, Genoa have confirmed that the obligation has been triggered and that Colombo has become their latest permanent acquisition via a statement on their official website.
“The Genoa of the future is starting to take shape, starting from the present: Lorenzo Colombo will be a rossoblù until 2029,” it reads.
“After a season of improvement, scoring 7 goals and providing 2 assists, the conditions have been met for the permanent acquisition of the striker, born in Vimercate (MI) on March 8, 2002, with a contract extension until June 30, 2029.”
‘Genoa is Genoa’
The Club’s Chief of Football, Diego Lopez: “We have great faith in Lorenzo’s human, technical, and professional qualities, and in his potential for improvement.
“A modern striker like him, who at 24 has already made 200 club appearances in his career, will be a key player in the squad we are building for next season. We thank Lorenzo, as well as his teammates, for their contribution on the pitch and in the locker room.”
Colombo: “I was keen to join a club, a team, and a place like this, and I’ll do my best to repay the trust and support of the club, the coach, my teammates, and the fans.
“I’m happy to continue playing for the Rossoblu: Genoa is Genoa. I’m fascinated by the atmosphere at the stadium during every match and aware of the emotional legacy you represent for tens of thousands of supporters.”

Wish him the best, I think he might found a great place for him, hope he does better next season, cause he looks like really nice professional
Guess Como’s Heir will now be Genoa’s Heir.
