Despite everything pointing towards a split at the end of this season, Sergio Conceicao is refusing to give up on his AC Milan career and will fight to keep his position.
Since the middle of February, if not before, there were questions about the future of the Milan bench with Conceicao struggling to show any signs of change on the Rossoneri’s touchline. Partnering this with some controversies (plural, unfortunately), his chances took a greater hit.
However, no decision has been made on the future yet, so this means there is a slim chance that Conceicao’s own future can be decided.
As Tuttosport (via Milan News) reports, the coach is looking to stay in Milano, after all, he has stated that he sees the vision in the long-term project, and feels like he can deliver some part of it. Despite a rough few months.
It starts with Serie A, where the coach is looking to close the gap on the Champions League – a near-perfect run and a bit of luck would be required, but the coach is hopeful. Then, there is the Copa Italia.
Playing Inter, again, is another chance to earn a bit of faith, and if the side were able to play the underdog card successfully, it could have a huge impact on the future.
By all accounts, the club will go all-Italian in the summer, but for Conceicao, there is a plan to rumble there, and the Coppa Italia could be his saving grace, after all, it has been his goal for a while. Doing so, could have an impact on his future, though the chances are low, certainly.
It’s in the clubs interest to see that both the team and the coach finish the season strongly, and it’s also in the clubs interest to see that the Coach is retained, he is a good, experienced Coach who has already won trophies both as a player and a Coach with important teams, all that Allegri talk is rubbish, he is timid and accepts draws or playing ugly as a good result, we need a Coach who demands winning at all times, who is angry when we lose, Allegri is a local champion…..
I prefer win ugly and got the title. If we manage to win something, it will build players winning mentality. By then, Milan can start to target a manager with attractive football and be both entertaining and winning.
You build your team by winning, not by being entertaining. That’s the difference between Arsenal and Man. City.
It’s time to bring back the legend, Paolo Maldini! His presence would be a significant boost to the team’s morale, even if it’s just to motivate the players. Having him visit the team during training and share his insights would be a huge inspiration to the guys. His iconic status and wealth of experience would undoubtedly have a profound impact on the team’s spirit and performance.
If Milan qualify for champion league next season, it is fair to give renewal for concecaio.. But at the moment, it is utopia to think that Milan will qualify..
His mentality as player and coach.. I knew he will never give up..
I really want Conceicao to succeed but at this point I don’t know what sort of success he would have to achieve to earn a stay… Coppa, AND Top4? Mission Impossible.
I still believe Sergio Conceicao. he still could win Coppa Italia and still could finish the season in top 4 or top 5. and all experts and supporters have to remember that even 5th position in this season could give the team place in Champions League.
.
I don’t understand critic towards Conceicao. since he started his work, he played his games every three days. where was the time to implement his vision? after the defeat in Rotterdam he finally have found more time for proper trainings. this break for national team games could give even more.
.
so let’s wait for the Sergio Conceicao cards.
I would stand with concenciao he is a professional in his work allegri was already with Milan and the trend in seria A is that a return of a coach never went well .I would give a chance to concenciao to start a season from the start
