AC Milan head coach Sergio Conceicao is giving serious thought to trying a more attacking formation against Udinese, a report claims.
According to the latest from MilanNews, if what was seen during the tests in training at Milanello is confirmed, tomorrow evening in Udine a 4-4-2 will be seen. Conceiçao tried two strikers next to each other – namely Tammy Abraham and Luka Jovc – then Christian Pulisic and Rafael Leao as wingers.

To still hope for a place in Europa League or the Conference League, Milan must win pretty much every game and that starts on Friday night at the Stadio Friuli, a ground they have struggled at in recent seasons.
Given the probable absence of Santiago Gimenez, who still has a sore side after taking a bang against Fiorentina, it was presumed that the battle would be between Abraham and Jovic to take his spot, especially after both scored against La Viola.
In the end though the Serbian and the Englishman may well end up co-existing in a ‘super attacking’ 4-4-2 or a 4-2-2-2 formation, completed by Pulisic on the right and Leao on the left. Gimenez, at most, will recover for the bench.
It would be the first time that Conceiçao has used the two strikers from the start, but he did use it in the two Supercoppa Italiana comebacks against Juventus and Inter, plus against Como, Parma and Fiorentina in the league.
It’s taken this long to consider starting in the only formation that’s worked for us this year… it’s almost like anytime we play with 2 up top we actually score, especially with Jovic
Can not play 442 with leao in the lineup and Theo being a complete sh!tshow in defense. No balance.

The last match when Jovic came on at 26 mins it was 4231 with Jovic as the 10/CAM.
And he performed well.
Call it 442 if you like but it is really no different to 4231 with a second striker behind the main striker.
A 352 is the best IMO. Theo n Jimenez as wing backs, three midfielders, Abraham n movie striking. Leao will never add defense to his game, playing a 442 with him is the worse idea possible, cos the two wingers will also have to come into midfield more often, which leao will never do, cos he is lazy n has no stamina. Hearts out to public for his defensive contributions to the team. He defends everywhere. That’s what the team needs to do, be your brothers keeper

I agree. If only when had dynamic center backs that could double as either left or right backs. Someone like P.Kalulu in Juventus…
3-4-2-1 would be the best lineup for this squad and fix the defensive balance. For Udine-
