Marca: Controversy surrounds Atletico Madrid midfielder – Milan and Juventus watch on

Another source in Spain has claimed that AC Milan are interested in signing Rodrigo De Paul from Atletico Madrid, along with Juventus.

Marca speak of a ‘controversy’ surrounding De Paul at the moment because the midfielder was granted permission to be absent to see his father who is ill, but not to attend a festive event just a few hours before the game against Sevilla at the weekend.

Atleti are not happy with the attitude of the Argentine who last season was reprimanded several time for his behaviour even within the dressing room. Meanwhile, the LaLiga club also need to sell players to balance the accounts.

The report claims that Juventus and Milan are following the situation surrounding De Paul carefully and Los Rojiblancos will listen to offers for a player that they spent €36m on to sign from Udinese.

After playing a starring role for Udinese and hitting double figures in goal contributions regularly, he has just 5 goals and 3 assists in 58 appearances for Atletico Madrid.

      1. That’s where the “imo” comes in. I know he has decent stats but his playing style is too rigid and prob not suitable for our needs. I rate Luis Alberto more and he has better stats

  1. One of the best midfielders in serie A during his time playing in Italy. He went to the wrong team to play for a coach that plays football like it’s the 60s and 70s, with parking the bus and defending.
I would absolutely take him on loan. I think he only makes like 3 mil a year. I doubt Milan can buy him because of his fee and age
