CorSport: Milan working to lower Chelsea’s demands for midfield target

By Euan Burns -

AC Milan are doing all that they can to get Chelsea to lower their economic demands for English midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek, a report claims.

As has been reported by Corriere dello Sport (via Milan News), the Rossoneri are very serious about bringing the Chelsea midfielder to the club this summer.

Loftus-Cheek has had numerous loan spells away from Chelsea and has had a handful of promising spells in the first team uber various managers.

With one year left on his deal at Stamford Bridge, it now seems that his time with Chelsea will be finally coming to a permanent end. Milan are the main contender to sign him, but they want Chelsea to lower the asking price.

They are doing this by being in constant contact with the agent of Loftus-Cheek. By showing that they are genuinely willing to take him off of Chelsea’s wage bill, the Blues may lower the price to get the deal done.

    1. Only one little thing left regarding SMS. Why would Lazio sell him to Milan? He is never short of admirers. Knowing that his price might significantly drop this summer, it’d be easier for Lazio to sell him to highest bidder club, most likely from EPL.

Yes it’ll all come down to the player. But SMS never says anything in connection with Milan either; like he’s a fan growing up, etc etc.

  1. I think lotus cheek is a very good player ,and in midfield we need a very strong quick physical player as we do lack height in certain areas …my only problem is can he stay fit …just one more thing to add please don’t write Olivier Giroud off ,as he will still be needed next season …He has been an incredible buy for us ..As for this season Giroud to score against juventus…

  2. I don’t know why Milan are insisting too much on loosing money to buy this bench warmer yet we don’t have big money. Better struggle to bring Encisco. At least this will make sense.
