AC Milan were offered the chance to re-sign striker Andrea Petagna by agent Beppe Riso on Tuesday, a report claims.
The 24-year-old spent his youth career with the Rossoneri but only ever made three appearances for the senior side.
He had loan spells at Sampdoria, Latina, Vicenzo and Ascoli during his time at Milan before eventually moving north to Atalanta in 2016.
Petagna scored 16 goals in 36 appearances for SPAL last season, who he joined on loan from the Bergamo-based club before making his move permanent on July 1.
Yesterday, the player’s agent Giuseppe Riso was at Casa Milan where he Petagna to the Milan leadership, according to il Corriere della Sera.
However, Milan made it clear that they have no intentions of bringing the player back to the club as he does not fit their plans.
