CorSera: Amrabat and Milinkovic-Savic remain on Milan’s midfield target list

While the signing of Ruben Loftus-Cheek looks to be close to completion, the AC Milan management will not stop there and are looking at other profiles.

As reported this morning by Corriere della Sera (via MilanNews), the target for those in charge of recruitment is to use the money generated from the sale of Sandro Tonali and put together a higher quality midfield overall.

Among the profiles on the table are Lazio’s Sergej Milinkovic-Savic and Fiorentina’s Sofyan Amrabat, both of whom have stood out as being among the best in Serie A, albeit with the Serbian more of a box-to-box player and the Moroccan a defensive anchor man.

At present, Milan only have Tommaso Pobega and Rade Krunic to call upon given that Tonali’s sale is now imminent, Ismael Bennacer is out until 2024 after knee surgery, Aster Vranckx has gone back to Wolfsburg and Tiemoue Bakayoko has returned to Chelsea.

    1. You’re not really getting anything out of Krunic’s sale
(no more than 2M) and you’re losing a great bench player who can cover for nearly any position. Getting them both would be expensive but doable for 80M total as I see it.

  1. Neither will happen because these would actually be good signings. Our great owners only want free or painfully average players.

  2. Instead we’re getting Loftus Cheek who would be playing in Lecce if he was Italian and Musah the Kanté from New York.
