CorSera: Bakayoko plus centre-back, right-back and striker would complete Milan squad

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan should move for players in four positions between now and the end of the transfer window, according to one journalist.

The Rossoneri have welcomed the signings of Brahim Diaz, Sandro Tonali and Ciprian Tatarusanu as well as having secured the renewal of Zlatan Ibrahimovic and a permanent deal for Ante Rebic.

Nonetheless, there is speculation suggesting that the management are looking to add the finishing touches to the squad with a number of targets being strongly linked, such as Fiorentina duo Federico Chiesa and Nikola Milenkovic.

There are also some potential exits to resolve as unwanted duo Lucas Paqueta and Rade Krunic appear to be moving towards a departure.

Carlos Passerini of il Corriere della Sera spoke to MilanNews about the Rossoneri’s market so far and the pieces that are missing from the current squad.

After the purchase of Tonali, do you expect more signings in midfield?

“Bakayoko would be the ideal player, because he already knows the environment and because he is a physical player,” he said.

“At Milan could create a perfect pairing with Kessiè, in addition to the couple formed by Tonali and Bennacer, who can alternate. Bakayoko would be ideal. I know it’s complicated because Chelsea won’t back down, but it’s an effort that has to be made.”

With Musacchio injured and Romagnoli out until the end of September, should Milan look for another defender on the market?

“Milan need a centre-back and a right-back, even if Saelemaekers’ idea of playing lower intrigues me, it could be a good opportunity.

“In addition to a central defender, Milan must look for a deputy to Ibra. Embarking on such a long season without the reserve attacker is a bit risky.”
