CorSera: Determination filters from Milanello as Pioli’s men prepare for important test

After all, Stefano Pioli has reiterated this several times: moments of difficulty will come. A season simply can’t be filled with just good results, rather teams will also experience tough situations, which will help them grow.

Milan’s first knockout came this week, ending their unbeaten run which began back in June. The loss against Lille certainly was a tough one to swallow, not just because of the run, but also because of how the outcome was (0-3).

As highlighted by Corriere Della Sera (via MilanNews.it), the Rossoneri now need to re-energise and come back even stronger. The three goals conceded have inevitably left their mark on Milanello, where yesterday no one wanted to joke.

However, this is a positive factor, because it confirms the seriousness of a group that cares a lot about the project. Pioli has also done well to avoid any dram, you don’t go eight months undefeated by chance.

An immediate reaction is needed, though. The match against Verona is fundamental to strengthen their leadership in the standings and demonstrate that Thursday’s misstep was just a stumbling block, a normal mishap, and not anything else.
