CM: Milan initiate contacts over Verona sensation – his price tag and the Ibrahimovic test

By Isak Möller -

Back in January, Hellas Verona paid just €1m to buy Matteo Lovato from Padua. The defender’s price tag has since risen to €20m, starting the season by keeping Juventus and Roma at bay. Now, Milan and Zlatan Ibrahimovic await.

As reported by Calciomercato.com, the Rossoneri have already made some exploratory contacts both with the Lovato’s entourage and Verona. The profile is popular as he fits the project of Stefano Pioli and his ideas for the team.

Therefore, he’s the new name on the centre-back list, which also includes Ozan Kabak (Schalke) and Mohamed Simakan (Strasbourg) as well as Fiorentina’s Nikola Milenkovic. However, when it comes to young Italian talents, Juve are never excluded.

In fact, the Bianconeri were the first to initiate contact over the 20-year-old. Inter shouldn’t be forgotten either, as they are keen on reinforcing the defence. Lovato could thus be the next ‘battle’ on the market, but first a test against Ibra awaits.
