With Inter and Juventus having preceded today’s game with wins over Fiorentina and Roma respectively, Milan cannot afford to make a mistake against Crotone.
As this morning’s edition of il Corriere della Sera writes (via MilanNews), Inter and Juve are breathing down Milan’s necks and because there is a beatable opponent on the card today in Crotone, a misstep would be hugely damaging.
By winning against Crotone and in the next round with Spezia, the Rossoneri could reach the derby with an advantage of two or more points, and this would make all the difference in the world. It would mean that even a draw against Inter could well be a good result.
Today though it is necessary at all costs to win and hit back on the two historic rivals. This afternoon Milan will have everyone’s eyes on them, but so far they have shown that they can manage the pressure well.
