CorSera: Maldini has one position in mind to strengthen in January and a No.1 target

By Oliver Fisher -

There is only one position where AC Milan are guaranteed to strengthen in the January transfer window, according to a report.

Today’s edition of il Corriere della Sera (via MilanLive) reports how despite the problems caused by Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s most recent injury, directors Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara are not thinking about buying a centre-forward.

The only addition in the winter transfer market could be a central defender, with the usual name of Schalke 04’s Ozan Kabak the favoured option at the moment.

The paper adds how the club will be attentive to any opportunities that may arise to strengthen the team but it is necessary to pay great attention to the balance sheet, which has been heavily in the red for several seasons.

Even if today the only certainty seems to be that of the arrival of a centre-back (if could be more if at least one of Musacchio or Duarte will leave), it cannot be excluded that there may be interventions in other departments, if the conditions are right.
