CorSera: Milan choose not to pursue €25m Sassuolo star despite talks with agent

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have been offered the chance to sign midfielder Davide Frattesi from Sassuolo but they are not going to explore a deal, a report claims.

According to today’s edition of Corriere della Sera (via MilanNewws), Davide Frattesi’s agent proposed the Sassuolo midfielder to Milan knowing that they are still looking for a reinforcement in that department after Franck Kessie’s departure and missing out on Renato Sanches.

The problem however is the price of the Italy international, because Frattesi’s agent made it clear in the talks that the Neroverdi are looking for €25m in order to sell the former Roma man, a figure that the Rossoneri cannot spend after having already spent €35m for Charles De Ketelaere.

Therefore, Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara are instead more likely to go for a profile that they can secure without making such a large economic outlay, given a centre-back must also be signed.
