CorSera: Milan have terms agreed with Botman but Newcastle are pushing – the alternative

By Oliver Fisher -

It has been well documented that AC Milan are in the market for a new centre-back and two options stand out above all, according to a report.

Corriere della Sera (via MilanNews) confirm that Milan are after a new central defender but with the renewals of Maldini and Massara still at stake, Milan’s talks with Lille for Sven Botman have slowed down.

In addition, Newcastle are also pushing to sign the Dutchman and are even offering more than the Rossoneri at present, so an effort must be made if Milan are to get their first choice target even though they have agreed terms.

The Rossoneri have also seen Gleison Bremer of Torino on their wish list as an alternative to Botman, but the Brazilian has already reached an agreement with Inter over terms and therefore he will not be an easy player to sign either.

With Alessio Romagnoli on the way out and seemingly heading towards Lazio, Milan have decided that another central defender is needed.

  1. Bremer will cost as much as Botman, if not more. We don’t have money for those players with the 100M budget and 2 holes in our team. RW and AMC + backup LB. We will end up collecting free players like Marcelo, Isco etc and hope they can do something. Feels like a feeder club for Madrid, not the 2nd most successful in CL in history.

    1. We have budget for RW and AMF if 100m euro . CDK 30m euro + Antony or Ziyech 40m euro . CDK for AMF . 30m euro left for botman/bremer. That total 100m euro . For Cambiasso ( Theo back up) cost 15m euro ,we can use the fund from hauge sale+ Duarte Sale. For kessie replacement we need to sell castilejo, caldara or maybe lord saladmaker, well we don’t need it too much and can just skip kessie replacement. We need money too for pay Florenzi and junior transfer fee total 7m-8m euro for both

    1. Or will you.
So the American owners of Liverpool are doing poorly? Chelsea fans upset at their new ownership? Elliot didn’t just lead Milan out of the mid-table wasteland?
What an incredibly stupid statement to make, well not really incredible when you review some of your other posts, stupid seems to be a common thread.
The USA qualified for the next world cup, but Italy hasn’t for two in a row. Does that mean Italy doesn’t know calcio? See how dumb that sounds? Kind of like you.
