CorSera: Milan interested in summer move for Ilicic if the right conditions are met

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are interested in signing Josip Ilicic from Atalanta this summer, a report claims, but only under certain conditions.

Ilicic seems to be the name under the spotlight at the moment as Milan have been heavily linked with a move for the Slovenia international over the past few days as a potential option to add experience and creativity to the attacking department.

Today’s edition of il Corriere della Sera (via MilanNews) confirms that Ilicic could leave Atalanta in the summer due to the non-idyllic relations with hed coach Gian Piero Gasperini. Not only that, but the Bergamo club are testing the waters with various clubs to see if they can offload the 33-year-old, whose contract is due to expire in June 2022.

Milan are among the clubs keen on landing him, but only if the right conditions are met. A pursuit would be accelerated if Hakan Calhanoglu’s renewal collapses and if the transfer fee is low, with a figure of around €5million mentioned.
