AC Milan have found themselves in an intense race for the Champions League places, and they must win against Parma to avoid serious doubt being thrust upon their ambitions.
According to il Corriere della Sera (via MilanNews), the Rossoneri have now abandoned the Scudetto dream, but are in the running for an equally important goal. There is €50million at stake for Milan as that is what clubs receive for entering the group stages of the richest and most important competition in football.
At the Tardini against Parma they must get back on track after a disappointment last Saturday in the draw against Sampdoria, because the future of the Rossoneri is based on qualification for the the Champions League.
The race is increasingly crowded and uncertain, as from Milan to Roma – from second to seventh in the standings – there is only nine points separating the teams so no one can afford to slip up. Pioli will again rely on Ibrahimovic, who was also disappointing in the previous match against Sampdoria, but the Swede will try to be decisive again.
