AC Milan have got two players in mind that could form part of the deal to bring Davide Frattesi to the club from Sassuolo this summer, a report claims.

As has been reported by Corriere della Sera (via Milan News), both Daniel Maldini and Lorenzo Colombo could be used by Milan as makeweights so that they do not have to part with too much cash to sign Frattesi.
The desire to sign a midfielder of Frattesi’s calibre has intensified since it became clear that Sandro Tonali is going to be moving to Newcastle. With Inter strongly in the frame for Frattesi, Milan must work hard on their bid.
Sassuolo would like to receive around €40 million for Frattesi, which is a lot for Milan to part with in one go. For that reason, one of Maldini and Colombo could be used to reduce the financial figure.
Given Colombo could be needed in attack next season, Maldini seems a more plausible makeweight.
