CorSera: Milan willing to invest in January but there is a technical and psychological fear

By Oliver Fisher -

The AC Milan management are willing to invest in January but there is the worry of upsetting the balance that has been achieved, a report claims.

With the January window set to open in just over a week, there are some obvious gaps in the Milan squad that need plugging such as centre-back, midfield and possibly even a forward, but that does not mean that doing so is entirely risk free.

Today’s edition of il Corriere della Sera (via MilanNews) reads: “Milan are only looking for players who are good enough.”

The paper adds that the Rossoneri are willing to invest in the January market, but without upsetting the balance achieved in recent months.

“Something could also be done, but only if there is the right opportunity and only if we are fully convinced,” declared sporting director Ricky Massara on Sunday, thus clarifying the line of the club, which has its own logic and meaning.

The fear of the management, in fact, is that a wrong signing could break this balance, which is technical but also psychological.
