AC Milan’s pursuit of Barcelona defender Junior Firpo is on pause for the time being as he does not want to leave, according to a report.
Just as it seemed as though the operation was intensifying and heading towards a possible conclusion, several recent reports have suggested that there is no chance of Firpo moving to Milan this month as things stand.
Our correspondent Pietro Balzano Prota is reporting how for now Milan are standing still and there does not seem to be the will to go any further. The operation has stopped, and we must see if it reopens or there are evolutions.
According to what today’s edition il Corriere della Sera reports (via MilanNews), the track leading to Firpo – the primary target to become Theo Hernandez’s new deputy – has become complicated in the last few hours.
It doesn’t seem that there is a problem in talks between the two clubs, but in fact the full-back has in fact expressed his intention to remain at Barcelona.
