CorSera: Milan’s reaction immediate and angry – the Diavolo have no intention of stopping

Monday’s 3-3 draw against Roma left a lot of bitterness in the mouth, which is something that shows how far this team has come.

As il Corriere della Sera reports on Friday (via MilanNews), the team did not have time to digest what went wrong in the game earlier in the week at San Siro as they had to take to the field just three days later in the Europa League against Sparta Prague. The reaction was immediate and angry, as the Rossoneri won 3-0 to make it nine wins in 10 across all competitions to begin the season.

Milan are now at the top of Group H by virtue of Celtic earning a 2-2 draw against Lille, with the Ligue 1 side set to visit San Siro next week. If Pioli’s side can get the job done and make it three wins from three, they will be at least five points clear of third place with three games to go, allowing them to face those fixtures with greater tranquility.

Meanwhile, Milan are at the top of the standings also in the league and therefore securing progression from the group stages as swiftly as possible would allow the team to focus on the league for a few weeks.

The Diavolo have no intention of stopping, on the contrary they want to prolong their excellent run of form as much as possible.
