CorSera: Significant pay rises await Milan stars Hernandez and Leao – the figures

AC Milan are working hard to renew the contracts of some of their key players, following what has been a lesson learned with the likes of Gigio Donnarumma and Franck Kessie. And they seem to be making progress.

Theo Hernandez and Rafael Leao are next in line on the renewal front as talks are underway with their respective agent. According to today’s edition of Corriere Della Sera (via MilanNews), they are on the verge of putting pen to paper.

Both are currently contracted with the club up until 2024 and the new deadline, once the contracts are registered, should be 2026. They also earn roughly the same amount currently (€1.5m per year) and will both get their salaries tripled (to €4m).

Considering how both of them have performed this season, and especially at the start of this year, it makes perfect sense to lock them down but also reward them. Hopefully, the deals will be finalised soon and announced.
