CorSport: €40-50m clause possible for Fiorentina star as Milan, Liverpool and Real Madrid circle

AC Milan’s pursuit of Fiorentina striker Dusan Vlahovic is at risk of getting complicated due to a potential release clause, a report claims.

According to the latest from il Corriere dello Sport (via MilanLive), there are a number of clubs keen on signing Vlahovic including Milan, Juventus and Roma as well as teams abroad like Liverpool and Real Madrid.

However, Fiorentina are working hard to try and get Vlahovic to sign a new deal and therefore remove him from the market immediately. The Serbia international has a contract until June 2023 and currently receives a low figure (€0.8m net per year) and therefore an increase in salary must be considered.

Rocco Commisso has made it clear that his absolute priority is not to lose in the summer but his agent – Darko Ristic – is definitely ‘fascinated’ by the enquiries of top international clubs.

That is why Fiorentina would also have to insert a non-exaggerated release clause in the new contract in order to be able to ‘free’ Vlahovic should La Viola not make the leap in quality expected, therefore around €40-50m.
