CorSport: Lazio president Lotito wanted Milan game to be replayed – the situation

There has been an outpouring of anger from Lazio after their defeat against AC Milan on Friday, a game which they ended with eight men after three red cards.

PianetaMilan recall that Lazio president Claudio Lotito spoke at the end of the game to express his frustration with what he believes were some big errors from the referee Marco Di Bello.

According to what was reported by Il Corriere dello Sport, Lotito was thinking of turning to Coni, the FIGC, the Ministry of Sport, the Government, parliamentary questions and the judiciary to try and get the game replaying.

Speaking with the lawyer Gentile, Lotito tried to understand if there were the conditions to request a replay of the match between Lazio and Milan due to a refereeing error on the penalty not awarded to Castellanos.

However, he was informed that this was not an option to the absence of the appropriate requirements. The controversies over Di Bello’s management therefore continue, but Lazio’s conduct during the closing stages and at full-time remains the big talking point.

Luca Pellegrini was shown a second yellow card for a foul on Christian Pulisic when he was trying to let the ball run out, then Adam Marusic was sent off for something he said to the referee and Matteo Guendouzi also got a straight red for lashing out at Pulisic.
