CorSport: Maldini and Massara the key as Milan convince key target to sign five-year deal

By Oliver Fisher -

Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara have finally got their man as Lyon defender Pierre Kalulu is ready to sign a long-term deal with AC Milan.

The Rossoneri have been strongly linked with a move for the right-back over the last few weeks as the club look to strengthen in what has been a problem area all season.

Now, a number of sources are claiming that the 19-year-old will arrive on a free transfer and will sign a five-year contract with the Rossoneri, the first as a professional in his career.

According to il Corriere dello Sport (via MilanNews), Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara were the key protagonists in the pursuit, with the player having been in discussions with the director duo over the last few days.

Indeed it was Maldini and Massara who conducted the operation and hope to formalise it in the next few hours. Kalulu will arrive for his medical on Monday and sign a five-year deal, convinced by the opportunity to grow with the youth project that the Rossoneri have in mind.
