AC Milan are ready to try and sign Arsenal midfielder Lucas Torreira once again having been unsuccessful last summer, a report claims.
According to Monday’s edition of il Corriere dello Sport (via MilanLive), things could be different for Milan this summer in their pursuit of Torreira, a player they have been extensively linked with for a year now.
The Uruguay international has used his agent to send signals to Milan regarding his openness to return to Italy and join the Rossoneri, where he would be a key part of the project.
The Rossoneri have kept relationships with his representatives alive and are waiting for the best time to launch another assault, when they will enter into a negotiation with the Gunners and use the player’s will as leverage.
The paper claims that the former Sampdoria star has a €40million asking price – a big fee but one in which Elliott Management could make an exception.
A sale could then give the funds needed too, like maybe Frank Kessie or Lucas Paquetá.
