CorSport: Milan battling Spurs, Everton and Newcastle in race for €25m Leipzig loanee

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan face a transfer battle with three other clubs if they want to welcome Ralf Rangnick with the signing of Patrik Schick, a report claims.

Luca Marchetti told Sky Italia (via MilanNews) on Monday night that Rangnick has specifically asked for three Bundesliga players in view of his new adventure in Italy.

The first name mentioned was Patrick Schick, who is set to return to Roma if RB Leipzig do not use their €28m option to buy this summer. The Czech international has scored 10 goals and added three assists in 28 games across all competitions this season.

According to il Corriere dello Sport on Tuesday (via MilanLive), Roma are ready to sell Schick to the highest bidder.

In addition to the idea of a permanent stay at Leipzig, the Giallorossi are keen on selling him to the Premier League, where they could get more money and ensure he does not come back to bite them with either Milan or Fiorentina, who are also interested.

Talks have started with Tottenham, but at the moment the London club are not keen on paying the €25million asking price. Everton and Newcastle are more interested and have been since last summer, the report concludes.
