CorSport: Milan calm despite PSG and Man City’s attempts to lure €50m star

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are ‘calm’ regarding the future of Ismael Bennacer despite the interest of two top European clubs, according to a report.

Friday’s edition of il Corriere dello Sport (as cited by MilanLive) confirms that Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester City are strongly interested in signing Bennacer.

The Rossoneri have already rejected a €30million proposal from the Ligue 1 club for the 22-year-old as the club would like to make Bennacer part of their foundations for the future and a pillar of the new Milan under Rangnick.

Despite the fact Milan would have almost doubled their money on the €16m investment they made a year ago, Elliott Management Corporation do not want to sell.

However, there is even talk of a phone call from coach Pep Guardiola to the player to probe the ground and the player’s openness to a move, but at the moment no concrete proposal has arrived from the Premier League side.

The Rossoneri’s stance is clear: if the Algeria international is to leave, it will only be for his €50million release clause, and the club believe no interested party will reach these figures – not this summer at least.
