CorSport: Milan could launch new offer for €20m Marseille midfielder after first bid was rejected

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have made an offer for Marseille star Boubacar Kamara and could go back in with a fresh bid, according to a report.

Today’s edition of il Corriere dello Sport (via MilanLive) confirms that Milan want to sign Kamara from Marseille at an affordable figure given that his contract expires at the end of the 2021-22 season and there is nothing suggesting a renewal is imminent.

At the moment the management will not move from the €12m already offered to the Ligue 1 side, but the request of the French club is €20m. It cannot be excluded that a new attempt will be made to try and secure a player who is considered functional to the project.

The Marseille midfielder does not intend to renew his contract which means that Marseille are left in a tough situation whereby they sell him in a cut-price deal or they let him leave for free in one year. The proposals that will arrive and Kamara’s decision on the team in which he wants to play for will be decisive.

  1. Get him..he can play 6 in a 4-3-3 or as part of a pivot…can even fill in as CB..he is tall, great passer…great tackler too and has some good experience at the top level

    1. 100% agree. Buy this kid fills 2 holes – defensive mid and CB. Can see him as future starter with Tomori in the back or in middle in case Bennacer or Kessie is sold/leaves. Gives us more options.

  2. Kamara is good. excellent. but tbf. he wouldn’t. accept being a fourth choice starter. It’s better we get Bakayoko. There would be some stability in the team + he would cost way less. Probably not even half of what Kamara costs. We can spend the remaining money or positions we really need. For example RW and CAM
