CorSport: Milan eyeing discount as Fullkrug gives green light – the starting price

Niclas Fullkrug is the primary target for the deputy striker role at AC Milan and according to a report, he has already agreed to join the club. As such, the Rossoneri are aiming to get a discount from Borussia Dortmund.

Milan announced the signing of Alvaro Morata on Friday and the Spaniard will certainly be the starting striker this upcoming season. However, he won’t be able to play every game from start to finish and the Rossoneri are thus expected to sign a deputy.

According to today’s edition of Corriere dello Sport (via MilanNews), Milan have chosen Niclas Fullkrug for this role as a departure from Borussia Dortmund is possible. The German international has already given the green light for the move and the starting price is set at €15m.

Given the striker’s willingness to join the Rossoneri, as well as his age of 31, Milan are aiming to obtain a discount. The situation could be similar to that of Youssouf Fofana, who also has accepted a move to Milan and is waiting for an agreement between them and Monaco.

That being said, Atletico Madrid have also enquired about Fullkrug’s situation and although he isn’t a primary target for them, Milan need to be careful.
