CorSport: Milan hatch August plan for €44m Chelsea man with uncertain future

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are willing to bide their time and make a move for Hakim Ziyech late in the transfer window, according to a report.

Back in February of last year, it was announced that Ajax and Chelsea had reached an agreement for the transfer of Ziyech for a fee of €40m, potentially increasing to a maximum of €44m when including bonuses (via Wikipedia).

There was a lot of excitement surrounding the arrival of the Morocco international, but he amassed just four goals in 33 appearances across the Premier League and Champions League.

According to the latest from il Corriere dello Sport (via MilanNews), Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara are keeping an eye on the situation regarding Ziyech, who could leave Chelsea as early as this summer.

A lot will depend on the strategy of the London club and on the formula of the eventual operation, with Milan poised and aiming for a loan with an option to buy included, which could materialise in August.
