AC Milan are trying once again to sign Spurs defender Serge Aurier after a failed attempt one year ago, according to a report.
Il Corriere dello Sport (via MilanNews) are reporting that the Ivorian is one of Milan’s main goals as they look to strengthen in the right-back position after the disappointing seasons that Davide Calabria and Andrea Conti endured.
The paper claims that there have already been a couple of meetings staged already with Rossoneri representatives. Aurier through his manager has already given the go-ahead for a move to Milan, but Tottenham are currently asking for around €20million.
Milan are hoping to bring down that figure by using the player’s will. An agreement regarding salary must also be found, given that Aurier receives a salary that exceeds €4million net, which is too much in the eyes of owners Elliott Management Corporation.
The wheels, it appears, are firmly in motion.
