CorSport: Milan hold new talks over deal for Spurs defender – he is the chosen target

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have not given up on signing Serge Aurier from Spurs and have held new talks over a deal, according to a report.

The Rossoneri’s desire to sign a new right-back has been picked up on by a number of different outlets, with Andrea Conti and Davide Calabria having struggled for consistency all season.

A number of outlets have reported that Aurier is a target of the Milan management to reinforce the right side of the defence, with the general consensus being that talks are underway.

According to il Corriere dello Sport (via MilanNews), Aurier is the player chosen to strengthen Pioli’s squad, even if the deal will not be the simplest.

Over the weekend there was another telephone conversation that serves as an update between the parties, because Milan are evaluating all aspects of this operation, both from an economic and technical point of view.

The paper adds how Aurier would bring international experience, and would be an extra weapon for Milan, who are looking for a Theo Hernandez type player on the opposite side.
