CorSport: Milan make centre-back signing a priority – two names on their wish list

By Isak Möller -

After failing to sign a centre-back in the summer, Milan will make a new attempt in January to strengthen the squad depth. And with Simon Kjaer’s injury, it has only become more urgent for the Rossoneri.

According to Corriere Dello Sport (via MilanLive), Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara have two names on their transfer wish list: Matteo Lovato and Ozan Kabak. Two players born in the year of 2000 that Milan have followed closely as of late.

It could be complicated to snatch Lovato from Hellas Verona, though, as the latter would like to keep him until the end of the season. Furthermore, Juventus are also interested in the youngster and the competition thus won’t be easy.

Kabak, on the other hand, could probably leave Schalke 04 already in January without too many complications. Therefore, it remains to be seen who will be playing with the red and black shirt come February.
