CorSport: Milan willing to pay half of Atalanta’s asking price for winger but agreement is expected

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are only willing to pay half of what Atalanta are asking for in order to sign Josip Ilicic, according to the latest reports.

Newspaper il Corriere dello Sport (via MilanNews) explains that Milan are waiting to finalise the negotiations with Atalanta for Ilicic. The Slovenia international wants to sign with the Rossoneri but still an agreement between the clubs has not been found.

La Dea are asking for about €7m in order to sell but the Milan management do not was to spend more than €3.5m given the fact Atalanta are open to selling, the player wants the move, he has a contract until 2022 and is 33 years of age.

In the next few days, however, a solution should be found that will allow Ilicic to get the move that he wants, given that his future at Atalanta does not seem destined to continue at present but it would give him the chance to stay in the north of Italy.
