CorSport: Probable Milan XI to face Bologna – Krunic and Daniel Maldini to get a chance

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan will be looking to get back on track on Saturday with a win against Bologna after two straight defeats in the league and the Coppa Italia.

According to the latest information from il Corriere dello Sport (via MilanLive), Stefano Pioli will have to come up with some fixes for his attacking department as Brahim Diaz is injured and Hakan Calhanoglu is still COVID-positive.

The good news is that Sandro Tonali and Ismael Bennacer will return from injury, but it is probable that Pioli decides not to risk either of them from the first minute.

Meanwhile, new signing Fikayo Tomori is expected to start in the centre of defence given that Simon Kjaer is injured and Pierre Kalulu also suffered a knock in the loss against Atalanta a week ago.

Rade Krunic could therefore occupy a position alongside Franck Kessie in the double pivot, while Daniel Maldini might be the playmaker as per the newspaper. Mario Mandzukic will start from the bench, with Saelemaekers, Leao and Ibrahimovic completing the attack.

Probable Milan XI (4-2-3-1): Donnarumma; Calabria, Tomori, Romagnoli, Theo Hernandez; Krunic, Kessie; Saelemaekers, Maldini, Leao; Ibrahimovic.
