CorSport: Pulisic’s wonderful start to life at Milan continues – the numbers

By Euan Burns -

Christian Pulisic has been AC Milan’s signing of the summer after producing excellent performances for the majority of the 2023/24 season so far.

The American winger, as reported by Corriere dello Sport (via Pianeta Milan), is undroppable for Stefano Pioli right now and his winning goal against Empoli just kept the good form going.

He is the best right winger that Milan have had in the past ten years, proved by the fact that he already has 10 goals for the season across all competitions.

That is more goals in a season than predecessors such as Suso, Junor Messias, Samu Castillejo and Alexis Saelemaekers ever managed.

He has eight goals in Serie A and two in the Champions League, and he will be trying to add to that tally in the Europa League with Milan in a strong position to get into the quarter-finals.

Not only is the former Chelsea player scoring goals, though, he has provided seven assists, with six of them being in Serie A.

Whilst he could be rivalled by Ruben Loftus-Cheek in terms of overall performances, Pulisic has certainly been the best attacking signing of the summer transfer window as the likes of Samuel Chukwueze, Luka Jovic and Noah Okafor have not come close to his impact.

  1. He is a clear and major upgrade to our right side many have often complained about. No doubt about it. I’m glad we signed him.
