CorSport: Rebic returns as Pioli studies two possible starting XIs to face Crotone

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan head coach Stefano Pioli is already working on possible configurations for Sunday’s trip to face Crotone, according to a report.

Pioli will once again be juggling a number of selection issues as Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Leo Duarte will both miss out due to contracting Coronavirus, while Alessio Romagnoli, Mateo Musacchio, Andrea Conti and Rafael Leao are not yet fit.

According to Friday’s edition of il Corriere dello Sport (via MilanNews), Pioli is currently looking at two solutions to solve his selection crisis.

The first would include Ante Rebic – back from European suspension – playing as the centre-forward with Hakan Calhanoglu, Samu Castillejo and one of Alexis Saelemaekers or Brahim Diaz behind him.

The second possibility, however, would include the confirmation of Lorenzo Colombo as the striker with a trio of Castillejo, Calhanoglu and Rebic supporting the teenager, who netted on his first senior start for the club on Thursday night.
