On Saturday night, AC Milan were beaten by a rather poor Cremonese side. There are a few reasons why, but there was one key area of issue.
Fault can be found in several places from Saturday. In a game like that, it is a given. However, Milan did not look like the new team which they did during the summer. Instead, it was a continuation of last season’s errors.

With the Serie A season starting again, there was a hope that the Rossoneri could get back to where they should be. Yet, the same faults found in the team for the past 12 months showed true once again. Defensively, there was no clarity, really. However, this was not the biggest fault.

So this roster is not enough to beat Cremonese at home… Give the man Haaland, Yamal and Van Dijk so he can win a game this season.

No. The goals we conceded were due to poor defending and a poor midfield. Pavlovic was at fault for the first goal because of poor marking in the box.
Pavlovic allowed the Cremonese player to get ahead of him to score that header. On the second goal it was once again poor marking by Fofana who was ball watching.
Both Pavlovic and Fofana are not good enough to play for Milan. They should not be starting in this team.
Gabbia is also a poor defender. So it’s even worse having both Gabbia and Pavlovic playing together and even worse having Fofana playing instead of Ricci and Jashari.
I’ve said many times our defenders are not good enough. Pavlovic should be sold and the same for Fofana

Tomori is our problem. I keep saying this. He’s not a good defender. Malick Thiaw left and Tomori has to go. How can we loose to Cremonese. This is unacceptable in this modern era of serie A.
Pavlovic is a walking mistake. He trips over the ball or his feet at least twice per game. He can’t score enough to fix his mistakes.
I see nobody has anything to say about Loftus and his “performance” yesterday, and in almost all games for that matter. Because it is nothing to be said except the man has no place in the team! Fofana and a few others as well! Just deadweight.
I really hope Estupinan will show something elss in the next games, because yesterday was nothing to see from him.
Gimenez has potential but he needs support; such support is impossible to get from loftus & fofana
All of our cbs are disappointing, non of them have leadership skills to marshal a defence non the less themselves. Tomori needs to leave and we needed a better signing than Pavlovic, Gabbia can leave too I see why Villarreal didn’t rate him now too many mistakes too, our cb situation needs a complete overhaul

Pavo and Tomori are not good enough to play for us. So many problems in the club but one of the most frustrating is the deeply ingrained old school Italian refusal to give youth a chance. Didnt sign Coppola, Leoni, Comuzzo. Anyone who watched the Arsenal match a couple hours earlier saw Max Dowman, a 15 year old come on and electrify the crowd, pose a threat and win a penalty. Meanwhile, we send Camarda out on loan while crying out for a striker. Probably end up paying 20-25m for Harder who’s a few years older. Hope Camarda bangs in the couple of goals against us next week.
We have average defenders who cannot sense a danger when the cross is coming into the box, the opponent scores each time,no position awareness , very poor indeed ,same old story, fofana and Loftus cheek are not so good when we need to break compact defense, they cannot create good plays to break stubborn defense but instead they return the ball back all the time,only modric has the quality out of the 3 midfielders,allegri should have started Ricci & jashari with Luka modric..I was so sad & disappointed last night after waiting to see a brilliant first league win of the season..
Don’t understand using Fofana and RLC how he did and having Modric be the defensive mid.
Luka needs to be further forward to distribute and get into the attack.

Totally agree. In addition to that our defenders are terrible. I don’t know how Tare and Allegri believe we can go into this season with Pavlovic, Gabbia and Tomori. They are all average defenders and they are not starters.
Malik Thiaw was our best defender. We should have signed Renato Viega from Chelsea and Milan Skriniar as well.
Anyone who thinks we are going to win the Scudetto let alone qualify for UCL this year with a back line of Tomori Gabbia and Pavlovic ought to have their heads examined LOL. Will never happen. The team w the best defense wins the Scudetto like 98% of the time – and that is NOT us.
They are all AVERAGE players at best. Pavlovic STILL doesn’t understand positional marking. Tomori is NOT a RCB in a back 3 and Gabbia is NOT a ball playing CB you MEED when playing a back 3. Esphian cannot defend and was already pulled after 45min and Salad isn’t a defender either. YIKES

However the only slack I’m cutting on Gabbia is that he can actually read the game in defending but like u said…. we’re playing a back three and the middle defender is a ball playing defender, and he isn’t. In fact none of them are. We sold the one that could too lol. And ppl thought Pav is better than Thiaw? Pav can’t fetch 40mil.
