Dalot optimistic ahead of Verona clash: “All the matches we play are opportunities”

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan defender Diogo Dalot is seeing today’s game against Hellas Verona as an ‘opportunity’ to do well in the fact of adversity.

Head coach Stefano Pioli will be without as many as nine players for the game at the Bentegodi, with Dalot among those to benefit as he gets a rare league start. He was interviewed by Sky Italia before the game.

“Today we have an opportunity to play a good match. All the matches we play are opportunities, not only for me but for all the players. If we have the right attitude, we can have a good game,” he said.

Dalot also spoke to Milan TV about the upcoming game, with his comments transcribed by MilanNews.

How do you feel, how did you prepare for the match? “As always, to win. We are concentrated, we are strong.”

On the many injuries: “We are a team of almost 30 players, we are a great group and we know that if someone is missing there are others ready to join.”

What match will it be? “It will be a difficult match, I am convinced that if we go out on the pitch with the right mentality we can go home with the three points.”
