Photo: Data shows why Renato Sanches might not be Milan’s Kessie replacement

In the last few months, Renato Sanches has been heavily linked with a move to AC Milan after a January move allegedly broke down. Some have described him as Franck Kessie’s replacement, but he might not be that.

Looking at the stats provided by Smarterscout, as cited by @CoachKuhaugeACM on Twitter, it seems pretty clear that Kessie and Sanches are very different players. Instead, Sandro Tonali appears to be more appropriate to take on that role.

Two days ago, L’Équipe (via GFFN) reported that Sanches is expected to join Milan at the end of the season. He could be part of a deal that also could see Sven Botman move to the Rossoneri, willing to invest this summer.
