The agent of Lille striker Jonathan David has made it known that he is in Milano, amid the reports linking him with a move to AC Milan in the summer.
Milan have held interest in Jonathan David for several years, but they have never taken the final step in acquiring the Canadian. This summer, though, they may well have the opportunity to land him in a cut-price deal.
According to Orazio Accomando of DAZN, Milan and Napoli are interested in David. The Rossoneri have been following him since last year, while the Azzurri see him as the replacement for Victor Osimhen.
His agent is in Milano, as evidenced by the latest Instagram story, but Lille still value him at around €50m despite the fact that his contract is set to expire in June 2025, meaning he will be a year from the expiry of his deal come the end of the season.
The Canadian had a difficult start to the season, but he has had a real resurgence in 2024 as he now has 23 goals for the season across all competitions, plus seven assists.
The Canada international is only 24 years of age and has now racked up 81 goals in 175 appearances for Lille plus 16 assists, as well as 26 goals in 45 caps for his country.

It is a looong way till the upcoming mercato closes, till then we will bear a new story every day.
This guy is the best fit to replace Giroud at upfronts
So many talented forwards are linked with us but David’s goals scored stats are strong , very strong. The most impressive aspect is he has kept this up over 3 years.
David is what we need
Miln wont pay 50M for a guy in his last year of contract . Even 40 is pushing it
Anything over 30 mill for David is unrealistic… I think he’ll have very high salary requests, so any bids would have to take that into account.
If Leao, Chuk and Pulisic continue playing like they did in the last game, I’m not worried about the striker. Even a 20 mill poacher would be bagging 15 goals per season.
The striker market in Italy might become vary crazy… If Lautaro is sold this season, and Juventus sells Vlahovic (which both clubs seem intent to do), and Napoli has already sold Osimhen… that’s another three top Serie A clubs that would be in the market for a starting striker and can offer high salaries, though Inter already has Taremi but not sure if he’ll replace Sanchez or Lautaro.
