AC Milan are hoping to close a deal for Charles De Ketelaere in the next 24-48 hours as a new bid is ready, according to a report.
Today’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews) explains that today contacts will resume between Milan and Club Brugge, with the Rossoneri ready to increase their latest offer to around €35m with bonuses included.

The player said yes to the idea of joining Milan right from the start and it is likely that his desire to join the club will play a big role. There is also the very strong interest of Leeds who have put forward a bid of €37m plus bonuses, but the young Belgian attacking midfielder only wants Milan.
The paper adds that the 21-year-old can’t wait to get on the flight to Italy and begin his new adventure, with the Rossoneri very close to the conclusion of a negotiation that will see the Diavolo add another big talent.

I disagree with you there – Milan have to be careful with how and why they spend money and €5m (especially if it’s a bulk sum paid up front) will have a sizeable impact – would potentially be money that means signing a depth player or a contract renewal wouldn’t be possible for the year ahead.

Pointless to negotiate for a “discount” when a player has NOT demanded to leave, the club hasn’t been regulated or isn’t in financial ruin and the player is STILL under contract for 3 more seasons lol. In THIS situation you have to play the fee. Simple. This isn’t charity. What happened to the “double discount” for CDK and Lang?? LOL. We had no leverage. Same with Botman. We were never getting a “discount” – why because the player had 3 years left on his deal lol. If he’s in the last year of his deal – I get it. You can low ball like we are with Sanches. But w 3 years left on their deals, only a fool would think we are getting a huge discount on CDK or Botman. Pay and move on to next target like RW, mid, CB and a back up LB

This should have been done weeks ago. Brugge were never going to lower their demands. Why? Because CDK is under contract for another 3 years! Lol. So all this “negotiating” was pointless in THIS situation. Brugge didn’t “need” to sell. Again – IN THIS situation when a player is under contract for 3 more years – and the player has NOT demanded to leave – the club doesn’t need to lower their demands – see Botman lol.
