Di Marzio: Decision from Romagnoli expected as Milan table offer – the latest

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have offered a renewal to captain Alessio Romagnoli but he must now make a decision, according to a report.

According to what Gianluca Di Marzio told William Hill (via TMW), Milan are serious about signing Sven Botman and they are ready to invest a sizeable figure for the Dutchman. It is a reinforcement that would become even more necessary in the event that Romagnoli were to leave the club given his contract expires in June.

The latest offer tabled by Milan to their captain is worth €2.5m net per season plus bonuses to reach a maximum of €3m in total and it remains to be understood what Romagnoli’s decision will be.

If he were to remain with the Rossoneri he would have to take a pay cut given he currently earns almost double the salary being offered (about €5.5m), so at the moment the situation is on standby.

  1. Am a Milan die hard fan but am not happy with what Milan management is doing
They have to show respect to him
He’s committed and at least he shouldn’t have half of his price cut
We should always remember every player’s effort when the going was bad and rough
We should show respect to the old players by giving at least 4m to 5 not just half when injury plague Ibrahimović is higher and playing nothing

  2. 2.5 million what? I wish this is not true. This is total disrespect to our captain. Yes, I agree he has not had the leap in quality but offering such an amount to him is an insult. He should earn 4m at least.
