GdS: Decisive hours await in De Ketelaere talks – Milan have two factors in their favour

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are hoping that they will have concluded a deal for Charles De Keteleare by the end of the week or they will move on to other targets, a report claims.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews), Club Brugge will give their definitive answer to Milan’s latest offer of €30m plus €2m in bonuses by Sunday at the latest. The Belgian club are still asking for €35m, but Milan have two cards to play to convince them to say yes.

The player himself has clearly told Brugge that he only wants Milan and has said no to Leeds United, who put more money on the plate than the Rossoneri. Milan could also offer a (low) percentage on a potential future resale of De Ketelaere to try and finally convince them.

Everything is now in the hands of Brugge, but given that the young attacking midfielder’s contract expires in 2024, rejecting the Rossoneri’s bid would either mean that De Ketelaere accepts Leeds or a other destination. Milan, meanwhile, have an alternative in mind: Hakim Ziyech of Chelsea.

    1. Yea right, if he was our primary target we’d offer the extra 3 mil that’s the whole meaning of primary, he comes first therefore we should be willing to spend the extra 3 mil

  1. I hope this deals falls through, CDK is overrated, get Asencio, Lang, let Rebic and Adil play AM role.RW is what Milan needs.

  2. The new owner only put 300 million euros in liquidity on the table to buy the club, while the rest would be in debt (600 mil from Elliott and 300 mil from JP Morgan). They can’t even compete with a mediocre EPL club ie. Leeds for a 35 mil player and still boasting wanna bring Milan back to the very top of European football!

    1. Am ashamed of milan for take this long to sign one player, Elliot and redbird are a disgrace to we the fans for give us high hope that they are going to make milan great again
